We are currently looking for a highly analytical, creative and forward-thinking Senior Finance Analyst to join its ever-growing Customer Fulfillment Finance team at our European headquarters in the vibrant city of Luxembourg.

Position Description
The Senior Finance Analyst will support Real Estate planning and reporting, along with identifying Real Estate opportunities also within the Fulfillment Center Network. She / he will be responsible for the financial evaluation of alternative fulfillment solutions and projects (like third Party Logistics Providers) in the Amazon EU network, and bring key management information dashboards to the next level. In addition will drive capex planning and reporting, as well as identify, analyze and approve capital investment opportunities within the Customer Fulfillment network.

In order to achieve that, she / he will work with internal business partners at all levels of the organization. Role Responsibilities
  • Partner with Real Estate, Construction, Engineering, Network Planning, Operations, Retail and Finance teams to drive process improvements, cost savings, and support new business initiatives
  • Analyze the trade-offs between Real Estate, Capital Expenditures, Fulfillment Center expenses, and Transportation cost
  • Identify, communicate, and track high ROI capital projects through the approval process and carry out and drive post-investment ROI calculations
  • Prepare and lead Capital Budget forecasting and reviews, interacting with Senior Managers within Finance and Operations
  • Perform monthly variance analysis versus plan and forecast risks and opportunities
  • Develop and publish key performance indicators and regular business metrics for CAPEX and third Party Logistics Providers
  • Proactively work with the business owners on root cause analyses and solution implementation
  • Evaluate and implement opportunities for improving capacity planning inputs, process, and modeling
  • Improve tools, processes, scale existing solutions, create new solutions as required based on stakeholder needs

Responsibilities / Skills / Experience
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related field
  • Relevant experience within operations, capital expenditure investments, financial analysis, business process analytics environment, within a fast-paced metrics driven environment
  • Fluent in English
  • Advanced skills in Excel is a must; knowledge of SQL is a strong plus
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving with exceptional accuracy on provided figures
  • Solution driven approach to systems and processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIMA/CFA/MBA
  • Experience in the Real Estate industry (e.g. as a valuation surveyor) is a plus
  • Computer science literacy and/or working experience of Data Warehouse, VBA, Python, R is a plus
