EU Inventory Management team owns key inventory decisions: what, when, where, and how much we should buy to meet Amazon EU business goals and to make our customers happy. We do this for millions of items, for hundreds of product lines worth billions of dollars of inventory.
We are on the forefront of supply chain thought leadership and work on some of the most difficult problems in the industry with some of the best research scientists and software developers in the business.
In this role, you will be a functional leader of the EU Inventory Management (EIM) team. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading one of the core EIM functions (Buying, Forecasting, Inventory Control, Operational Excellence, Fast Track) across Europe. This includes owning a specific roadmap and goals across product families and geographies (UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain). This aspect of the role will require strong stakeholder management with Retail leadership across Europe (incl. top management, category leads, vendor managers)
- Being the go-to-person for Retail stakeholders from one marketplace (by default, the country you are based in) for any question related to the remit of the EIM team. This will require a solid knowledge across all core functions, as well as close interactions with the colleagues from your team who will be owning functions complementary to yours. It will also require strong stakeholder management of the Retail teams from your country
- Building and leading a team of highly skilled product/program managers (mostly located in your country, but potentially including remote management of a multi-locale team).
You will work with the local Retail organizations and Supply Chain operations teams and WW software teams to identify new features and projects. You will analyze the potential customer and financial impacts, select the most promising ideas, prioritize them, and create a cohesive roadmap that integrates them into our platform. You will also evangelize new features to our internal customers, working to accelerate feature adoption, track the realized impact, and communicate results with the local senior leadership.
You must be a strong leader comfortable with driving multiple and diverse projects in complex environments. You must have the experience and capability to prepare documentation for senior executives and align your roadmap with Amazon’s strategic objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a necessity. Successful candidates should excel at diving into data in order to analyze root causes and implement simple, long term solutions. You will thrive in a highly collaborative, creative, analytical, and fast-paced environment oriented around building the world’s most flexible and effective supply chain management technology.
The role is open in 5 Amazon EU offices and will report to the Director of EFN team based out of Luxembourg.
