Job Description

Job Profile:
The Product Compliance teams ensure that Amazon transactions satisfy legal and safety requirements in compliant with guidelines set by regulatory bodies. We coordinate with aspects of identifying the risk involved in handling a hazardous product while storage and transport and classifying products with appropriate hazmat attributes. We are responsible to provide hazmat flagging for products that involves compliant classification, labeling and packaging of hazardous products, which enables fulfillment/warehouse associates and customer aware of the risk involved and measures to handle and transship the products without any incidents or undeclared.
‘Dangerous Goods’ program provides extensive support on worldwide classification for all market places in alignment with dangerous goods transport & storage regulations such as GHS, CLP, ADR, DOT, IATA, 49 CFR, etc. to avoid any incidents or undeclared shipments during Storage, Handling and Transportation of hazardous products.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proficiency in verbal & written communication in English
  • 2-5 years of experience with DG transport/shipment
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, MS Outlook; MS Excel proficiency is an advantage
  • Ability to deal with ambiguities, conflicting priorities and multi-cultural environment. Work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
  • Strong analytical thinking, ability to convert strategy to operation, continuous improvement capability, sensitivity to details, and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Collaboration, ability to influence others without having positional authority, negotiation, determination and resiliency

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a fulfillment center
  • Possess DG related certifications: DGSA, IATA Category 1, 2, 3, or 6, ADR, etc..
  • Key Competencies: A-Z ownership of DG process; deals well with ambiguity, functions well and is able to clearly define processes in loosely structured situations; comfortable with following up on actions from others and closing the loop
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
