Your professional challenge:
  • To develop and lead the vendor management strategy for your category.
  • You will build strong relationships at a senior level with our vendors and facilitate discussions in order to drive profitable growth.
  • By managing a team of vendor managers you will deliver selection growth and increase value for our customers.
  • As a leader within the business you will share best practice across categories.
  • You will turn in-depth analysis into strategic insight and action.
  • You will seek out ways to automate & simplify manual processes in order to improve productivity.
  • You will work closely with the site merchandising, in-stock and product management teams for your category.
  • The performance of your product category, customer experience and operational efficiency will determine your success.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have a proven track record in taking ownership, driving results and moving with speed to implement ideas in a fast-paced online environment.
  • Significant team leadership and people development experience
  • Highly analytical, flexible, action and results oriented, self-starting, and be comfortable with computer databases and tools.
  • An effective communicator working with some of Amazon’s most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal colleagues and teams.
  • Ability to operate clearly in an ambiguous environment; strong ability to influence.
  • Possesses strong analytical and numerical skills with strong experience of Excel.
  • University degree required, ideally in a technical or analytical discipline.
  • Experience working with IT professionals, and process improvement training like Kaizen or Six Sigma will be a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for the Mobile and IOT industry
  • An MBA from a top tier school or work experience in a big strategy cosulting firm
