Amazon’s customers increasingly want to access and use our products and services via their mobile devices. The role of the Amazon Mobile Business Development (MBD) team is to meet this need by creating distribution and other strategic partnerships with Mobile Operators (MOs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) around the world. The services enabled through these partnerships include Shopping, Prime, Prime Video, Alexa, Amazon Music and others. And increasingly, consumers will be paying for these Amazon services on their MO bills.

We are looking for a dynamic Technical Account Manager who is ready for the challenge of driving the integration and distribution of our mobile applications and services with MOs, OEMs and other ecosystem partners.



Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrable technical and operational experience in online, mobile, e-commerce and/or payments-processing organisations
  • Experience in managing external partners, customers or vendors, preferably in the mobile ecosystem (MOs and OEMs)
  • Experience in a Product or Project Management role supporting launch of new applications or rolling out new features for existing products, preferably in the Mobile or payments ecosystems
  • Proven track record of getting things done and rapidly shifting gears between roles, including project management and technical account management.
  • Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building, implementing and managing payments systems (preferably in a mobile context)
  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units
  • Demonstrated ability to handle ambiguous/undefined problems
  • Experience building or supporting mobile applications
  • Experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including detailed requirements gathering, functional specifications, technical design, development, test, implementation and maintenance
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail; expertise in Excel a plus
  • Exceptional customer relationship skills, including the ability to discover the requirements underlying feature requests, to recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and to lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions
  • Experience with Oracle, SQL, Data Warehouse or other reporting tools. Understanding of basic business analytics.
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience to drive creative solutions
  • Master’s degree would be an added bonus
