Position Description

The Pan EU Retail Finance organization is seeking a Project Manager to lead the Finance Workstream of a major geographic expansion project.
You will be responsible for driving and facilitating cross-functional activities and projects. The Finance Workstream will address the impact the geographic expansion will have on the various systems and processes in Europe supporting all financial functions and transactions including accounting, tax, VAT, AP/AR, retail finance controllership, and SOX compliance.
The ideal candidate will be versatile in navigating through the Amazon environment and have the ability to engage a vast array of stakeholders across Europe and Seattle. The Program Manager will manage time, cost, and resources to successfully deliver results in large, complex, multi-team projects. They are able to anticipate bottlenecks and balance business needs versus technical and operational constraints to move projects forward quickly. They understand customer needs, break down complex business requirements into manageable projects, write functional specifications, solve complex technical or operational problems, interface with multiple teams, and deliver solutions in a successful, agile, and timely manner. They thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and are not hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

Basic Qualifications

· Fluent in English

· Masters/Bachelor's degree in business, finance, math or related field

· Proven record in leading process re-engineering efforts in a finance/accounting/tax systems environment

· Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects or teams

· Demonstrated ability to drive successful outcomes and make the right calls using data to support decision making

· Strong interpersonal skills including exemplary written and verbal communication skills

· Innovative and commercial

· Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications

· Demonstrated understanding of the principles of ecommerce platform and business model

· Experience with Data Warehouse, COGNOS, and SQL is a strong plus

· PMI / Prince2 certified or Lean 6 Sigma black belt qualification
