Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a System Development Engineer to change the way the world develops software by optimizing for ridiculously parallel cloud computing. This is an opportunity to operate and engineer systems on a massive scale, and to gain top-notch experience in cloud computing.

We are looking for an experienced System Development Engineer with deep expertise in designing and supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure. You will be responsible for the design, implementation and quality of services you deliver. The ideal candidate will draw upon technical background, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills that provides innovative solutions to support development teams. The candidate should be open to new challenges, extremely good at multi-tasking, innovative, creative, self-directed and a great team player. Candidates should drive continuous process improvement, and collaborate effectively with aggressive cross-functional teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.

Basic Qualifications


· BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field with relevant work experience
· Programming experience in Python or Perl
· Experience writing shell scripts and Object-oriented code in any programming language
· Experience with Linux administration
· Flexibility, thinking on your feet, and strong problem-solving skills
· Demonstrable track record dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment



Preferred Qualifications


· BS/MS degree in CS, CE, or EE plus 5 years of relevant experience
· Experience with Active Directory and authentication systems/protocols
