Cloud Executive Advisor - Principal - AWS Advisory Services
Do you have experience helping CIO/CTOs in public sector agencies develop their Cloud Strategy? Have you built and led a successful organizational transformation? Can you lead an enterprise Customer through a variety of projects involving IT strategy, distributed architecture implementation, and hybrid Cloud operations? Can you lead world-class teams that drive breakthrough results using cutting edge technologies?
At AWS, we’re hiring members to join the AWS Advisory Services team to work with our most strategic Customers around the globe. Team members possess a diverse IT and/or Management Consulting background at the executive level as well as knowledge of vertical IT trends, leveraging this credibility as advisors with Customers, partners and internally across AWS.
We are seeking an action-oriented visionary who is craving to be part of a great company in a fast growing industry. We need someone that will thrive in a fast-paced environment on our immerging Advisory Services team. The Field CTO will be the leader on all of Advisory Engagement and will be the key point of contact in the account.
The ideal candidate will be able to craft a forward-looking strategy while clearly outlining the investment and multi-step go-to-market plan necessary to achieve this strategy across headcount, hiring, training, and tools for the Customer.
Responsibilities include:
· Being a change agent for our most strategic Customers.
· Work closely with Global and Enterprise account teams and sales leadership to drive adoption of Cloud and Service solutions into top accounts.
· Routinely engages with Director, VP and c-level executives, both internally and externally.
· Develop TCO and Value Models to help Customers understand the value and rewards associated with Cloud computing.
· Provide perspective and guidance on long-term architecture/technology strategy, investments and innovation drawing upon their depth and breadth of knowledge
· Combine the competencies of strategy consulting, Architecture, Organizational Change Management and project management.
· Lead cross-functional project teams on high-profile engagements
· Educate AWS account teams on Advisory best practices and trends
· Document and present insights and recommended solutions to meet business objectives through enterprise architecture, adoption plans, and technical feasibility plans.
· Provide thought leadership and collaborate with internal AWS Service Teams
· Remain engaged with Customers ensuring successful transition through their journey of adoption
· Identify, lead and contribute to the creation of best practices, white papers, workshops, etc.
· Present compelling presentations and conduct persuasive conversation focused on Professional & Advisory Consulting Services for Cloud Transformation
· Assist with Customer-Facing Cloud Pre-Sales Leadership & Sales Support
· Help AWS develop compelling whitepapers, publications, research and service offerings to provide valuable and compelling Cloud services to the market
· Combine the competencies of strategy consulting, Architecture, Organizational Change Management, and project management.
· Lead cross-functional project teams on high-profile engagements
· Facilitate executive workshops, and Represent AWS at executive forums. Conduct Cloud Strategy Workshops, Assessments and Develop Customer Cloud Transformation Roadmaps powered by AWS solutions, and services. Lead discovery workshops to understand architecture and service capabilities, requirements, and problem statements of our prospects and Customers.
· Document and present insights and recommended solutions to meet business objectives through enterprise architecture, adoption plans, and technical feasibility plans.
· Provide thought leadership and collaborate with internal AWS Service Teams, as well as present at conferences, summits and Customer venues as a Cloud thought leader and strategic executive Cloud advisor
· Remain engaged with Customers ensuring successful transition through their journey of adoption; Serve as the Executive face to the Customer and work with Customer executive leaders through Cloud transformation engagements to ensure Customer satisfaction


Qualification:
· Outstanding Customer relationship management experience and collaboration skills
· Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
· Experience with providing strategic, consultative services in a sales or professional services environment.
· Must enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment fast paced environment.
· Ability to communicate complex topics to an audience with various functional knowledge
· Project and Program Management
· Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
· Ability to communicate complex topics to an audience with various functional knowledge
· Highly technical and analytical, possessing 10 or more years of IT implementation experience
· Understanding of how traditional organizations prefer to buy consulting and advisory services and procure large-scale transformation solutions
· Strong organizational and project management skills with an ability to manage numerous, competing demands from internal and external stakeholders and Customers.
· Experience in a fast-paced, startup (or startup-like) environment and experience
· Proven ability to interact and communicate with senior C-level executive personnel
· Experience with cost engineering Cloud environments to ensure Customers operating at the lowest cost per Customer footprint with integrated continuous cost improvement
· Proven experience migrating production enterprise applications to Public and Private Cloud
· Experience with DevOps, Continuous Development, Continuous Deployment, Continuous Integration and Micro-Services
· Experience with ITSM processes and ITIL, along with integration experience of Cloud solutions and services with enterprise IT Service Management system sand processes
· Experience designing comprehensive enterprise solutions based on Cloud reference architectures
· Ability to travel up to 50%
· Masters degree preferred in Business Administration, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Engineering, or math;
