Job Description

AWS is passionate about inventing the future on behalf of our customers.

We are launching a new innovation unit in London, and looking for passionate builders to join us to explore, research, experiment, and develop new initiatives. We will identify and incubate promising ideas, work closely with specialist teams across AWS and Amazon globally, and rapidly iterate. This is the first initiative of this kind for AWS.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial owner to be an agile leader. To drive user research, technical requirements, experimentations, and prototyping. To capture learnings and create reusable assets in order to accelerate following iterations.

The ideal candidate will be able to showcase his/her strong proven experience in building new products and tools from scratch and scaled through experimentations, A/B testing, growth hacking and data-driven decisions.

To be successful, you must be able to:
· Develop a deep understanding of the AWS customer, both existing and potential, their challenges and the environment in which they operate, and the role AWS can take to help them accelerate their success.
· Partner with key stakeholders to define vision, strategy, user research and supporting metrics required to add and enhance value.
· Build, prioritize, plan and execute several agile roadmaps in parallel.
· Own and hands-on-develop detailed product documents
· Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and customer-facing teams to deliver on the roadmap

Basic Qualifications

· Proven success in delivering customer facing online products and services in a high growth white space environment with many unknowns.
· Solid agile experience operating, managing, and delivering results in a consumer facing online product/service management role.
· Excellent cross-functional project management skills, with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and project management counterparts to deliver online products/services
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
· Excellent critical-thinking skills
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

· Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
· Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
· Experienced in experimenting on ideas with limited initial data.
