People Technology is looking for Technical Program Manager that want to work in a green field environment building large-scale data processing platforms.

You will help build a custom data management platform capable of processing complex data sets from many disparate systems using AWS technologies such as Lambda, Redshift, S3, and many others. This platform will serve hundreds of thousands of active users to deliver data-driven insights about the Amazon employee lifecycle.

About the Role
As a Technical Program Manager on this team, you will coordinate technical project and program development of large-scale, distributed software applications, systems, platforms, services, or technologies throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from design through release. Define projects, collaborate on business requirement gathering, and write functional and technical specifications. Drive software development efforts and manage priorities for program completion, including performance and stability tuning. Create schedules, identify and communicate risks to stakeholders, define risk mitigation strategies, and facilitate appropriate software engineering solutions. Coordinate with cross-functional teams and/or third party-vendors for implementation of project/program requirements. Provide weekly to daily update to senior executives on program risk, risk mitigation and progress.
You will develop solution to meet complex data security needs, build out different data access services and develop new and innovative ideas that benefit the Amazon world.

Basic Qualifications

In this role, you will coordinate and manage technical project and program development of a product suite throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from design through release.
· 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry
· Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical fields
· Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, product development , build processes, project management, and release models
· 3+ years coding experience in one or more of Java, C++, Perl,Python or other
· Experience managing efforts in Unix/Linux environments, distributed systems and/or developing large scale web applications
· A first-hand working knowledge of current web technologies
Key Responsibilities:
· Define projects, collect business requirements, and write functional and technical specifications.

· Create schedules, identify and communicate risks to stakeholders, define risk mitigation strategies, and facilitate appropriate software engineering solutions.
· Analyse site/software metrics (e.g. site usage and performance metrics) to discover patterns and problems.
· Manage cross-functional teams and/or third party-vendors for implementation of project/program requirements.
· Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· 8+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry
· Master degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical fields
· AWS experience
· Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
· Experience working with a geographically distributed team with different cultures.
· Ability to perform multiple tasks ranging from project management to coaching end-users and team members.
· Superb written and oral skills required.
· Experience handling escalations, ticket management, and ability to handle end-user calls from technical point of view.
· Strong experience scheduling, preparing presentations and status reports.
· Strong presentation development and writing skills.
