Job Description

Amazon Media Group is seeking a Creative Director to lead the Advertising Design and User Experience (ADX) team in our London office. This team is responsible for generating original, innovative brand experiences for interactive advertising campaigns—spanning our Amazon.co.uk, mobile, Fire Tablet, Fire TV, emerging platforms including Alexa, and experiential/offline media stunts—and works closely with our Sales and Marketing teams to bring ideas to life to help drive new business.

As the leader of this team, you will manage art director(s), designers, writers, and producers in the flawless execution of original branded experiences for Amazon’s wide array of Fortune 500 clients. You will forge strong relationships with key business partners in Sales and Account Management to define vertical priorities and goals for which you and your team will be accountable. You will work alongside the Executive Creative Director to set and enforce a high creative bar and design aesthetic that define the advertising experience for Amazon’s customers. Your team will create innovative, visually stunning, and effective advertising experiences that tell stories and drive business performance for the world’s best-known brands. You will represent Amazon Media Group design by evangelizing our capabilities and innovation directly with our top clients.

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in an agency or in-house creative environment with a digital design or copy background
  • Experience as a leader of creative teams
  • Bachelor degree in design, copy writing, or equivalent professional creative experience required
  • Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, enthusiastic team player
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Experience setting art direction, coordinating, and reviewing the work of the design team and other clients and internal stakeholders to ensure highest quality and unity of visual style
  • Strong project management skills, team-oriented individual with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating strong creative direction, visual design acumen, and experience creating great interactive advertising experiences is a requirement for application
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Photoshop and the full Adobe Creative Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert-level knowledge of Sketch preferred
  • Working knowledge of HMTL5, CSS3, and Javascript
  • Copy writing expertise a plus
