Job Description

The Amazon Devices group delivers new products and services that delight our customers. Amazon Devices introduced the first Kindle in 2007 - at that time, it offered 90,000 eBooks and sold out 5.5 hours after the announcement. Since then, we have expanded beyond Kindle with our powerhouse Fire tablets, and for streaming media lovers, we have created Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. Amazon Echo is a new category of device designed around your voice with far-field voice recognition, powered by Alexa, and Amazon Dash helps customers order groceries instantly from home.

As a Senior Product Manager for a device category, you will help steer the development of product, features, and platforms that power all elements of the customer experience on our devices—including hardware, software, and services. Using knowledge of local needs, market segment, and customer preferences, you will identify product feature gaps to drive the EU roadmap in partnership with Amazon’s R&D division, Lab126. You will also own the go-to-market strategy to launch these products and services in EU and drive customer engagement by working closely with both local and global stakeholders.

This role involves both strategic and tactical thinking in a highly ambiguous environment. You will also work cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, design, operations, finance, and executive teams to bring features and products to market, and grow business opportunities. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at distilling a wide range of disparate functionalities into clear, understandable applications that customers will love. We are looking for someone customer-obsessed and technology savvy - with a strong interest in consumer products.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing priorities simultaneously, and make necessary tradeoffs across business and technology work streams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and an ability to influence others.
  • Experience conducting primary and secondary customer research to understand your customer and inform feature roadmaps and priorities.
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project business cases.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.

  • Experience working in an international context
  • Knowledge of end-to-end customer life cycle with B2C products or services
