    The Dangerous Goods team is looking for a Global Classification Project Manager. The right person will be responsible for developing, maintaining, evaluating and enhancing the processes that enable final classification for dangerous goods in new markets, which involves driving projects and developing detailed designs for the recommended operational processes. You will need to align with cross-functional stakeholders in the Direct Import Product Compliance, Restricted Products, Compliance Operations, Dangerous Goods Classification System, Tech and Legal teams, in order to coordinate the activities required for the launch. The Classification Project Manager will work closely with remote team resources supporting worldwide launch activities; creating, developing and driving solutions that lead to a richer end-to-end customer and operations experience, whilst enabling selection expansion.

    Responsibilities include:
    · Engaging with Direct Import Product Compliance and Restricted Product teams to ensure proper handling of Dangerous Goods within our supply chain capabilities
    · Working with the Technical and Compliance Operations teams to establish country-specific classification
    · Improving the Standard Operation Procedures for the Compliance Operations teams
    · Obtaining and maintaining Dangerous Goods (hazardous materials) certification
    · Auditing the quality of the Dangerous Goods classifications
    · Defining creative, high quality, simple roadmaps for assigned areas of responsibility

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in BA or BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Operations/Supply Chain, Organizational Behavior, or other technical field from an accredited university

    • 5+ years in product, program, or project management

    • 2+ years of experience with root cause analysis and process design

    • Data-driven decision making or quantitative analysis skills

    • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

    • Excellent communication skills, excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done
    • Willingness to travel 30% of the time
    • Knowledge of the Portuguese language

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in business domains such as supply chain management, logistics, and dangerous goods
    • MBA or Master’s Degree in a related field
    • Dangerous Goods experience or certification (ICAO, DGSA, 49CFR, etc)

    • 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional programs, including external and internal stakeholders

    • Experience/certification in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies

    • The right candidate thrives in a high-energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel

    • Knowledge of Chinese or other European languages (French, Spanish, German, Italian) is a plus
