Working with business teams to translate their needs into technical requirements you will build cutting-edge systems that meet challenging business and technical goals with Amazon efficiency so we can deliver great pricing to our customers. You will directly interact with Amazon’s Development teams across the globe, to design and deliver the best solutions to grow Amazon in being earth’s most customer centric company!

    Opportunity
To meet these challenges, we are looking for a passionate, talented and super-smart Technical Program Manager who loves to work across (a) product management, (b) project management, and (c) software development! Our engineers are some of the best software developers in the industry, who work hard, have fun and make history.
With a broad technology and management toolbox you are able to develop the team and guide their technical implementations. Your success will depend on your skills in understanding the big picture of Amazon's business and delivering incremental solutions contributing to the larger vision. As a TPM, you will be defining the product vision and roadmap in a data-driven and working backward (from customer) approach. You also need to be comfortable to work with tons of ambiguities, learn and iterate to crack hard problems. You will also take the roadmap forward into incremental implementation phases, bring teams across organizations together, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Thinking big and working with Senior leadership, business stakeholders and engineering teams to define vision, strategy and requirements.
    • Delivering results by driving execution of programs spanning multiple organizations from design to rollout.
    • Earning trust through regular communication with senior management on status, risks and change control.
    • Owning all metrics around initiative goals you will define. We make decisions based on data.
    • Being resourceful and creative to overcome obstacles and turn challenges into opportunities.
