    The UK Digital Store team for Prime Video is based in Central London have the responsibility for offering our customers the widest choice of selection of movies and TV content to purchase or rent, complementing our Prime Video Subscription offering. The team is also responsible for driving customer acquisition and engagement and driving profitability for the service.

    At Amazon, data and analysis guide every business decision and deliver enormous business value. The Prime Video team is recruiting for a Manager to lead the Commercial Insight Data team for the Transaction Business. Our commercial data teams are charged with making Amazon data as accessible, usable, and actionable as possible by designing and creating business focused data structures.

    You will be responsible for implementing data structures that deliver timely, actionable data to business decision-makers while satisfying scale, reliability, performance, and budget goals. You will partner with business leaders, marketing and customer insights teams to drive strategy and projects, you will also write and review business cases, and drive the dataset development schedule from design to release.
    You will report to the Category Leader for our Digital Store (Transactional). This is a critical position within the Commercial Data team with high visibility to senior leaders; the position offers excellent career growth opportunities.

    You, the successful candidate, have superb communication and customer relationship skills. You have strong business judgment, outstanding customer insight and are a passionate advocate for your customers to all internal parties. You are comfortable working with business leaders at all levels, including senior and executive management. You are able to negotiate and win customer buy-in to technical decisions.


    Basic Qualifications


    Candidate essentials:

    You have a solid number of years’ experience in large scale business intelligence and data warehouse environments.

    • Expert level data modelling and ETL skills.
    • Knowledge of industry best practices.
    • Deep understanding data extraction and transformation.
    • Excellent Excel skills
    • You know and are excited by cutting edge technologies in business intelligence.
    • Rock solid technical skills that drive simple solutions to complex problems.
    • You are adept at solving problems that span business and technology.
    • Experience including exposure to very large databases, expertise in OLAP, and BI tools such as Oracle Business Intelligence, Essbase, etc. Retail or internet experience is a plus.
    • Educated to degree level in a numerical discipline
    • Experienced with SQL and working with relational databases
    • Experienced at analytical data manipulation on large marketing databases
    • Excellent Excel skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects to strict deadlines



    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with Tableau or other dashboard tool
    Statistical modeling techniques
    Strong time management and verbal and written communication
