Have you ever thought about the next model for software procurement and deployment? Are you interested in helping to create and drive a new business in EMEA? AWS Marketplace (http://aws.amazon.com/marketplace
) is looking for people who thrive in an environment where you are faced with new things every day and have the latitude to figure it out and run with it. We have created an online store where customers can find, buy, and immediately start using software in a utility model that runs on the AWS Cloud. Our job is to bring Amazon's e-commerce expertise to cloud software and fundamentally change how software is discovered and consumed in the cloud. We have a long list of new ideas just waiting to be designed and implemented.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to drive significant revenue growth with AWS Accounts in the Nordic countries (Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, and Norway) and support AWS Enterprise Accounts in EMEA ‘rest-of-world’ (Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe) – helping customers strategically think about their software estate as they move from on-prem environments to the cloud. Your responsibilities as Senior BDM will be to define and execute the strategy across the Nordics and partially support growth in predominantly the ME & Africa, working with teams across the AWS organization.
As the owner of this business, you will work with the AWS Marketplace EMEA Sales Enablement team to set strategy and determine which products to pursue in order maximize value and selection for Buyers. You will engage directly with Procurement Managers and Account Managers from Software Vendors to drive and support adoption of AWS Marketplace at AWS customers. This role will require travel.
You should enjoy working closely with AWS customers and ISVs to learn about their business and be able to help them drive their cloud strategy via AWS Marketplace. Successful applicants will have extensive sales, business development and account management experience in the software industry as well as an understanding of the ISV (Independent Software Vendor) ecosystem.
You should be technically competent and understand the cloud architecture environment and best practices associated with both on-prem architecture and cloud-based solutions (right-sizing hosts, data at-rest/data in-transit, security on and off the cloud architecture). You should be very delivery-focused, with a track record of exceeding sales goals, customer-centric, and self-motivated. This position has a high level of visibility, and you will need to be a strong leader, able to communicate clearly and compellingly internally and externally. We are a start-up within AWS so we will wear many hats, work fast and smart, and adapt and iterate quickly. If you are interested in rolling up your sleeves and ready to join a tightly-knit team that is tackling an interesting and challenging opportunity then please contact us today.
