Job Description Amazon is seeking an experienced technical analyst to be the expert for Dangerous Goods Compliance Operations department. S/he will be an expert in processes automation, will have in-depth technical knowledge of tools used within department and work with tech teams on the improvements. Additionally s/he will be seeking and executing automation opportunities within department.
The Technical Subject Matter Expert must have a passion for process excellence and be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders and line managers on the use of specific solutions. Specifically, the Technical Subject Matter Expert will:
Liaise with tech department on new tools introduction. Possess Dangerous Goods domain specific knowledge (training and mentoring will be delivered). Allocate daily work and automate process of work allocation to exceed operational metrics. Work on process and tools automation, drive improvements. Be on top of emerging technical challenges that operations teams are facing and work with Tech teams to address them. Confers with persons originating, handling, processing, or receiving technical requests to identify problems and to gather suggestions for improvements. Create reports using the existing self-service platforms (Necessary training will be provided). Operate as first level of support for data requests from Dangerous Good Compliance Operations team, address them using existing tool-sets.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and/or Certifications. Strong Excel skills and experience in database languages (SQL). Pro-active, delivery focused with a hands-on, can-do attitude. Demonstrating the ability to think creatively and independently to solve problems and complete projects. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to operate and communicate effectively across technical and non technical stakeholders. Demonstrate a strong curiosity to learn and develop.
Practical knowledge of any programming language (Java, Python, VBA) will be an advantage. Dangerous Goods regulations knowledge. Experience in processes automation.
