Amazon EU is looking for an experienced professional to create selection and support sourcing for all categories to better serve our Turkish speaking customers as part of EU Expansion Team. By analyzing customer data, as well as competitors and the market segment in general, you will identify sourcing opportunities. To fulfill this demand you will build long term relationships with vendors. You will work closely with the in-stock and vendor management teams for our local EU websites. Responsibilities · Increase selection and availability from new and existing vendors · Establish & manage long term relationships with vendors by driving negotiation and re-negotiation of their terms. · Drive campaigns and projects. · Liaise with the operations and instock management teams to assist in decision making processes for managing stock and inventory. · Build internal and external metric reports to monitor new selection. · Be an ambassador within the industry and consistently enhance Amazon EU’s position. · Support projects to more efficiently source stock and set up new items. Background and skills of successful candidates also include: · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment · Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary
· 5+ years of relevant experience · Strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management. · Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment is essential for success. · Ability to think strategically and tactically, with attention to detail. · Candidate must have strong communication skills and be fluent in English.
· MBA is preferred · Turkish language skills · Experience in Retail/FMCG/E-commerce is a plus
The position is based in Amazon’s EU Headquarters in the city of Luxembourg. However once in Luxembourg relocation may be required. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is a diverse and multicultural country located in the heart of Europe, bordered by France, Belgium and Germany.
This role will part of the Luxembourg retail team and will report to the Category Leader, EU Expansions. The successful candidate will be an analytically driven team player who is motivated by an entrepreneurial, fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
