The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, be able take effective action without having to know the total picture, and efficiently and proactively solve difficult or complex problems that affect people within the department or other related groups. The role will work closely with other Executive Assistants and Administrative Assistants throughout the Consumer Marketing organization, and throughout the company. You should ideally have knowledge and experience of working with a global team across multiple time zones, languages and cultures. Candidates should demonstrate an understanding of business structure as well as the desire and aptitude for learning new concepts quickly.
This exciting role requires superior attention to detail, great organizational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines, and to juggle multiple critical requests. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is important. A good sense of humor is critical, as is the ability to be flexible, and to change direction at a moment’s notice. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook tools is also required.
Main responsibilities include: complex calendar management, travel bookings, expense management, event planning, space management, as well as ad- hoc project management. This is a demanding but highly rewarding role, allowing you exposure to broad and diverse areas of the Amazon business and the opportunity to work with senior leadership teams on a multitude of exciting tasks. You will generally be responsible for organizing your Director’s agendas and ensuring optimum manager productivity, including ensuring successful follow up of action items, preparing documentation for meetings, assisting with PowerPoint presentations and a variety of other day-to-day administrative tasks.
