The European Supply Chain Operations team is looking for a Supply Chain leader managing the Middle Europe (Germany, Poland, Czech Republic) Operations Supply Chain team, working in close collaboration with Amazon’s Fulfillment Centers (FC), Transportation, Customer Service, Retail, Finance, Engineering and the software development teams. The team provides business expertise to exceed customer expectations while minimizing end to end supply chain costs. This is a highly visible position that is critical to the company's operations management and forward capability. The fast paced growth and scaling of our fulfillment network relies on on an innovation and operational excellence of this impactful leadership team.
The successful candidate will lead the Supply Chain Execution team and will focus on managing the operational relations with our fulfillment centers, vendors, and our retail teams by driving best practices, eliminating waste to ensure continuous improvement and delivering projects that will have a fundamental impact on the flow of inventory into our fulfillment network. They will be a passionate advocate to drive operational efficiency with proven analytical and project management skills, and must be a strong communicator and an effective leader with the ability to motivate and develop their team. The role is based in Luxembourg.
· Key member of the Middle Europe Supply Chain Operations Team managing the fulfillment network in Germany, Poland and Czech Republic. · Plan the daily inbound forecast for the MEU FC network. · Steer the network on a daily basis concerning operational issues with our fulfillment centers, vendors and retail teams. · Work closely with the SC team in areas including Sales and Operations Planning, inventory placement and inventory health across EU. · Set operational excellence targets and deliver country goals relating to a number of different areas including defect reduction, tools implementation and operational vendor management. · Identify and implement strategic projects that will improve the overall customer experience via raise of forecasting accuracy and streamlining of operations. · Gather software enhancements from across the business and ensure integration into the software development schedule. · Deliver the yearly project plan on time and in full. · Support new business initiatives with development, communication and implementation through partnering with cross-functional teams. · Help define the 3 to 5 yr plan for operational excellence. · Present to senior management a variety of operational and project updates.
· Several years of experience in a similar role. · Bachelors/Masters in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or hard science related studies · Experience in managing a team. · Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment. · Must be an independent problem solver that can make high quality judgments and decisions quickly with excellent organization skills. · Must be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects. · Excellent written, verbal, listening, communicating, and negotiating skills coupled with ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the enterprise is required · Strong data analysis skills, ability to produce, interpret and draw conclusions from data · Strong proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel · Experience dealing with results, metrics and data management and desire to create and build new processes.
· Must show ability to champion change and drive for improvements. · Ability to manage a large group of external and internal stakeholders. · Master's or MBA Degree preferred · Relevant language skills (German)
