    We’re looking for smart, proactive people to help grow our AmazonFresh and PrimeNow business. As an Associate Vendor Manager (AVM), you'll support our Vendor Management team to drive growth and help deliver a best-in-class customer experience. You will be responsible for creating the playbook for defect-free, scalable processes across multiple product categories, adapting Amazon tools to operate in the highly competitive environment of online Grocery. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the buying function within Amazon while also driving innovation in an emerging ecommerce category.
    You should have a passion for detailed analysis of business inefficiencies and a proactive attitude to identifying solutions. We are looking for a self-starter who is energized by ambiguity and the opportunity to help build a new Amazon business. You should be comfortable dealing with commercial, operational, and customer metrics, as well as having strong relationship management and organisational skills. For the ideal candidate there is also the potential scope for this role to grow to encompass category level responsibility over time.

    Typical AVM tasks include:
    • Creating efficient and scalable buying process with our support teams
    • Management and build of comprehensive selection through strong vendor relationships
    • Onboarding of new vendors; identifying and resolving commercial issues
    • Coordination and creation of launch plans for products (including seasonal product assortments)
    • Analysis of sales and key metrics to identify business opportunities
    • Monitoring and research of industry and competitive trends
    • Support of promotional activity

    A successful AVM must:
    • Be relentlessly customer obsessed
    • Have demonstrated ability of working well with partner teams
    • Have a track record of strong analytical acumen
    • Have a willingness to dive deep to triage issues and design mechanisms to eliminate future recurrences
    • Prioritize and closely manage inputs that impact the customer experience and business metrics

    Basic Qualifications

    • Teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
    • Project Management skills
    • Works well with partner teams
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Proficiency in Excel
    • Bachelor’s degree

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience diving into data and systems to pinpoint root causes behind systemic issues
    • Experience with SQL
    • Knowledge of retail and operational principles
