Amazon EU Retail team is looking for experienced product managers to help build our next generation inventory planning and supply chain processes.
EU Inventory and Supply Chain management is changing in the context of increasing buying automation, Pan-EU inventory planning, and increasing need for scalability to support business growth. In this context, pan-EU Inventory Management (EIM) will drive automation of remaining use cases, manage new functionality rollouts, pursue entitlement and cost-out initiatives, and act as a Retail interface to SCOT and Ops. EIM will be mapped to SCOT and Supply Chain functions: Forecasting, Buying, Sourcing, Fast Track, Inventory Control and Supply Chain Excellence.
In this role, you will be a functional member of the EIM team. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Owning the roadmap of one of the EIM functions on behalf of EU Retail. Identify, support the development of and deliver new features with significant business upside potential. This will require working closely with WW technical teams guiding supply chain optimization.
- Representing the EU retail business requirements to SCOT. This will entail coordinating inventory management use case analysis and automation system process rollout, optimizing the return on our inventory investment in our European businesses across product families and geographies (UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain). This aspect of the role will require strong stakeholder management with Retail leadership across Europe (incl. top management, CatLeads, VMs and ISMs).
- Interacting with Retail and SCOT stakeholders to further the goals relevant to your function. You are expected to put in place the right steering mechanisms in order to deliver against the goals.
You must be a strong project/program manager comfortable with driving multiple and diverse projects in complex environments. You must have the experience and capability to prepare documentation for senior executives and align your roadmap with Amazon’s strategic objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a necessity. Successful candidates should excel at diving into data in order to analyze root causes and implement simple, long term solutions. You will thrive in a highly collaborative, creative, analytical, and fast-paced environment oriented around building the world’s most flexible and effective supply chain management technology.
The role is open in 5 Amazon EU offices and will report to the corresponding functional leader of EIM.
