    Senior Product Manager, Credit Cards

Are you comfortable contributing to the development and launch of new businesses in the financial services sector? Do you want to support the development of new revenue streams for Amazon that will have a measurable impact on the bottom line? Amazon is looking for an experienced individual to join the Payment Products team, to launch and manage payments businesses in the UK.

The Payments Products team provides payments and credit services for customers to pay for purchases on Amazon’s websites. These platforms are growing rapidly and Amazon is continuously adding new innovative features as well as launching new products.

As a Senior Product Manager in the UK, you will be responsible for launching and managing one or more payment products assigned to you. The successful candidate will be responsible for product performance and the customer experience, understand how each component works and fit together, decide on functionality, trade-offs and delivery, and ensure initiatives are implemented on time and budget. You will work closely with mid-to-senior-level internal and external stakeholders, the Luxembourg headquarters, support the UK Payments Products team and deliver on ambitious goals to optimise and expand existing offerings, as well as launching exciting new products and solutions.

    Basic Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following:
    • Strong quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills, especially at being able to diagnose root cause of issues and dependencies
    • Able to find practical and simple solutions to complicated problems without sacrificing quality or core functionality
    • Must have launched a credit card for a major organisation
    • Skilled at working with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver on the solutions
    • Can exercise sound judgement on task prioritisation, problem solving where there is limited data, recognising and addressing risks before they become issues
    • Strong relationship and team-building skills. Able to communicate with senior executives and manage discussions to reach actionable conclusions
    • Will have experience of working in an international organisation of similar size and scope.
    • Must show evidence of collaboration with Finance, the banking partner and Data Science to assess the portfolio’s profitability and of using that data to recommend actions to mitigate risks.
    • Must show evidence of using data to inform decisions
    • Must have a demonstrable track record of delivering results
    • Must demonstrate fluency in English language both written and verbal
    • University degree required (Bachelors degree or equivalent)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (and other European languages are a bonus)
    • Experience in digital marketing and using digital channels to acquire customers is desired though not essential
    • Prior experience managing a product, owning a P&L and project management in relevant industries is strongly desired.
