    This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

    The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set including leadership development, analytical horsepower, excellent business judgment, strong vendor management and negotiations skills, deep curiosity about how things work, and a passion for creating a world class shopping experience for our customers. You must be willing to improve existing workflows and improve processes to enhance customer experience.
    You will work with vendors of all sizes and must have the leadership presence and communication skills to represent the category across departments. Experience in retail business, analytics, strategic thinking, negotiations and operations are required.
    Your professional challenge will be:
    · Develop and lead strategy for key growth areas for the Home category.
    · Develop and lead strategy for negotiations with vendors.
    · Represent Amazon when meeting with vendors and build long term strategic relationships.
    · Drive overall improvements to the Home shopping experience.
    · Manage the key business inputs of selection, price, and promotion to achieve our sales and margin targets.
    · Passionately advocate for the customer and category within Amazon.
    · Integrate strong and clear analysis and business rationale into sound decision making.
    · Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects & partner relationships - work prioritization, planning and task delegation
    · Cross functional collaboration on systems and processes to support business needs.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Professional experience ideally in an e-commerce, retail, key account management or consulting environment.

    • Proven ability to influence others in a business setting.

    • Strong communication skills and an assertive approach, whilst maintaining your ability to be vocally self-critical.

    • Outstanding analytical skills and experience in planning and forecasting.

    • Passionate self-starter, decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas.

    • A business focused way of thinking and a strong hands-on, results-driven mentality

    • Excellent English skills

    • University degree required

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Excellent marketing skills, a feel for customer needs, as well as a high degree of innovative prowess

    • Excellent knowledge of Excel and database work, with experience in SQL as a plus

    • Relevant commercial category experience
